How we make money

We recommend products based on buyer-intent criteria (bit material, coverage, opening tools, warranty, cost-to-repair math)—not solely on commission rate. When we prefer a lower-commission option for quality or fit, we say so.
Partners (planned)
- iFixit — primary for branded kits, Fix Kits, and quality-sensitive parts (via AvantLink when approved; FlexOffers only as verified backup).
- Amazon — secondary for budget kits and commoditized accessories (Amazon Associates when approved).

Repair & safety scope
Guides and product picks are for informational and shopping purposes only. Repair at your own risk. This is not a substitute for manufacturer service when under warranty or for hazardous damage (liquid, fire, severe battery swelling). DIY may affect warranty depending on manufacturer policy and jurisdiction—we do not promise that repair will preserve warranty coverage.
General safety cues we repeat on repair-adjacent pages: power off and disconnect the battery first when applicable; use ESD precautions and eye protection; use caution with heat tools. We do not claim guaranteed repair success, Face ID / True Tone restoration, or bypass of parts pairing or Activation Lock.
